About

What is all in?

We are beginning a two-year discipleship journey in generosity that is going to challenge every person in the Fearless Family of Churches toward greater trust and surrender to Jesus and living whole-heartedly for His Kingdom. Throughout “All In” our churches will journey through what it truly means to trust God with our lives, resources and future.

primary goal

100% engagement of Fearless Followers in ALL IN

We want every single person who calls the Fearless Family of Churches “Home” to enter into this initiative and into greater trust in Jesus. One thing we are always reminded of in Scripture is that none of us, not one, are fully developed followers of Jesus.

We all have room to grow, we all have a next step, and we can all take greater leaps in our relationship with Christ. We want 100% of our family to take greater leaps of faith, surrender, and generosity.

Each of us and all of us! We challenge every person who calls our Fearless Family of Churches their home to take their devotion to Jesus to the next level.

ALL IN – For MISSION: $7 MILLION

The fuel of every Fearless Family Church is its year over year ministry operations budget, which provides for the ongoing ministries of the church: staff, facilities, and programming.

This represents our current two-year operating budget for all our Fearless Churches and works to ensure that our mission to Follow Jesus and Fearlessly Make Him Known continues to move forward.

ALL IN – For VIBRANCY: $6.5 MILLION

As our churches continue to grow, we are constantly looking for ways to utilize every resource God entrusts us with creating dynamic and vibrant locations. $6.5 million in capital investments will create vibrancy, growth, and propel our churches to more intentionally reach our communities.

All of our Churches are strategically positioned to make a lasting impact and we want to maximize every opportunity to show and share the love of Jesus.

ALL IN – For EXPANSION: $1.5 MILLION

We’ve seen God’s faithfulness and transforming work, we know that He isn’t finished.

We want to reach into more cities and communities and bring the restoring message of Jesus. In order to do this, we need to plant more churches.

Together, we have a dream to extend Jesus’ love and truth in the next five years by planting four more Fearless Family Churches in West Michigan and six more Fearless Partner Churches regionally, nationally, and globally.

Frequent questions

You’ve got questions. We’ve got answers.

WHAT ARE YOU ASKING ME TO DO?

First, we are asking you to pray and seek the Lord. Make a commitment to attend a worship service and a Life Group each week of the six-week ALL IN series, and use this ALL IN Booklet as you seek God’s direction. Talk with your spouse, your family, or others about what God is saying to you and what your involvement will mean for this next exciting season of your life.

Join us in making a sacrificial commitment to gospel-centered generosity—whatever it is that God leads you to do, follow His leading. The primary goal of ALL IN is 100% engagement of our entire church family, and that includes you!

Finally, we ask that you prepare to go on a spiritual journey. We serve an awesome God and He is going to move in huge ways. We anticipate an unprecedented impact from our collective ALL IN commitments—something only God can do. Mark your calendar for Commitment Weekend, November 9 & 10, and prepare to experience a life-changing event that will forever be remembered as a defining moment for our church and for each of us as Christ followers.

WHAT IS A ONE FUND?

In a traditional campaign, participants are encouraged to give “over and above” their regular giving. While many participants certainly do this, there are some who give to the campaign in place of their regular giving. Additionally, the attendees of a church who aren’t giving regularly (or even at all) generally exclude themselves from giving to a specific project, assuming it is being directed towards the people who currently give something. “Over and above what?” is what they’ll say. The one fund approach invites everyone to give, whether they currently give something or currently give nothing, and encourages us to grow in the totality of our generosity to the church—including both our current giving as well as expanded giving in this accelerated season. The $15 million ALL IN one fund covers our two-year MISSION (operating budget) at $7 million, increasing our VIBRANCY at all three current churches at $6.5 million, and EXPANDING God’s kingdom through church planting at $1.5 million.

HOW DOES ALL IN CHANGE MY GIVING TO MISSIONS, THE GENERAL FUND, AND OTHER SPECIAL OFFERINGS?

During this two-year initiative, we are focusing all of our efforts and resources toward accomplishing the God-given vision of ALL IN. ALL IN is a comprehensive initiative that includes the full Fearless Family – all our attendees, churches, and ministries in one fund. That means that all of our giving over the next two years will be directed to the ALL IN initiative. Our board of directors will ensure that ministry and mission needs are resourced according to each church’s priorities. There will still be approved budgets each year during ALL IN. That will enable each of us to focus on giving generously FROM our hearts and not just FOR individual needs or projects along the way. There is power and greater impact when we are strategic and focused, so committing to these priorities in this two-year season allows us to do that.

ARE THERE ADDITIONAL WAYS BESIDES MONEY THAT I CAN GIVE MORE TOWARDS ALL IN?

Be creative as you explore ways you and your family can give towards ALL IN. You might have stocks, property, personal possessions, or other items of that nature. Or, you may have some stored resources that God has blessed you with in the past that He just might be calling you to give out of during this time. Contact Scott Potter if you need assistance with gifts of property or stock, and we would be happy to help.

WHY SHOULD I COMPLETE AND SUBMIT AN ALL IN COMMITMENT CARD?

We commit to many things, from our marriage to a mortgage, or even to a membership at the local gym. We wouldn’t get very far in life without a willingness to commit ourselves. Commitment also is central to our faith and at the very heart of following Jesus. We make a commitment to Him, and He expects us to be committed to His Body, the Church. Our church needs to know of our individual commitments so that wise leadership decisions can be made that will lead us into the future, knowing what we have to work with and thus planning and proceeding accordingly. God grows us and shapes us according to our priorities and through the commitments we make to Him. So, we invite you to take this powerful, life-changing discipleship step by joining us with your two-year ALL IN generosity commitment.

HOW LONG IS MY COMMITMENT?

ALL IN is a two-year initiative, so our commitments are for two years, beginning in December of 2019. Our first opportunity to give to ALL IN will be the weekend of December 7 & 8 with our “First Big Give” day. Also, on that weekend, we will announce the total of all commitments to ALL IN as we give our very best gifts to begin the two-year initiative and this exciting time in the life of our church.

WHAT IF I’M NEW TO A FEARLESS CHURCH OR NOT A MEMBER?

These are exciting days at our Fearless Churches and will no doubt be remembered for years to come. You are here, and we would love for you to go with us on this amazing journey of faith. If you watch and wait, you won’t be able to truly share in the joy of this season or experience all God has for you. We believe God brought you here, and we want you to be a part of all God is doing. We need you on the team, and this is a perfect time for you to put a stake in the ground and make one of our Fearless Churches your home.

WHAT IF I’VE NEVER GIVEN OR DON’T REGULARLY GIVE?

This would be a great time to start! The primary goal of ALL IN is 100% engagement of everyone at our churches, and that includes you. We are praying this will be a disciple-making, faith-building, and life-changing experience in our churches and in your own heart and life. To get anywhere, you must start somewhere, and ALL IN is a great place to start your giving adventure.

WHAT IF I’M NOT IN A GOOD PLACE OR POSITION TO GIVE TO ALL IN RIGHT NOW?

The reality is, there will never be a “better time” to begin the faith journey—or to take the next step in giving to the Lord— than right now. God calls us to action in times of hardship as much as He does in times of abundance. ALL IN is about a heart change—one that is only accomplished by surrendering our lives completely over to God in every area, including the area of giving. Believe God, walk in obedience, and trust Him to provide as you sacrifice and work towards fulfilling your commitment.

WHAT IF I AM SEVERELY IN DEBT RIGHT NOW? AM I STILL SUPPOSED TO GIVE?

If you are currently seeking to pay down debt right now, we commend you for making progress on that. And you should continue to do so. We would be happy to help you in this journey and/or to recommend a budgeting class that might minister to you. Being in debt does not, however, exclude you from the Journey of generosity. Giving isn’t about what God wants from you; rather, it’s about what God wants for you. So it should be our joy and privilege to give at all times. Please contact us if you need assistance with this or if you would like to speak with a budgeting counselor, and we would be honored to help.

WHAT IF MY CIRCUMSTANCES CHANGE DURING THE ALL IN INITIATIVE?

A commitment to the Lord and to ALL IN is an important step of faith. We shouldn’t make any commitment without prayerfully seeking the Lord. However, since none of us know the future, faith is required. A change in our circumstances will be no surprise to God. Of course, your commitment to ALL IN is voluntary and non-binding, but enter into this exciting phase of your journey totally committed with faith and not fear. God is able!
